What made you decide to go to college? I am a 1st generation college student. I knew that college was the only way to attain a career that would set me for life and not just for a few months. Although it is possible to get a good job without a college degree, it is much harder.

How did you pick your college? I knew that it had a good reputation as a great university. Since it is a public school, it was not as expensive as a private university. I wanted to go to a big city to learn to be more independent. I wanted to explore a place other than my hometown.
How did you decide on your major? I was interested in business because my family is involved in a small business. I chose accounting because of the great program at my school.
What did you do to prepare for college? I applied for many scholarships and took honors courses. I was involved in several community service projects and business organizations in high school.
