USE THE MEDIA FOR JUSTICE! Girls will create campaigns for social change. Utilizing the MyLatinitas.com social platform and other more grassroots techniques, campers will spend the week making change and having their voice heard.
July 8-12/ Cine Chica Camp
(Located at El Buen Samaritano 7000 Woodhue Dr., 78745)
Having a fan base isn’t just for Hollywood anymore. In the Cine Chica Camp, girls will learn about independent filmmaking, publishing and music while exploring multiple channels for promotion and success of their takent. Their videos, photographs and other works will be published on latinitasmagazine.org for the world to see!
July 15-19/ Fashion Forward Camp
(Located at Latinitas Headquarters 1107 S. 8th Street, 78704)
Can you spot trends? Have you been able to throw together an outfit from goodwill that could make the cover of Vogue? Girls ages 9-14 will have fun with fashion writing, photography, reviews and videos while creating their own fashion magazine.
Austin camps run from 10am-4pm. Snacks and drinks provided. Must bring lunch. $200 per week

LATINITAS MULTIMEDIA ARTS SUMMER CAMP- EL PASO,TX
This Summer, local girls have an opportunity to get a taste of what their life could be like as a movie star, a news anchor, a photographer, a radio dj, a magazine writer, a poet, a graphic designer and more in Latinitas multimedia art camps. Through intense week-long day camp program, girls can find their creative expression outlet by producing original media arts projects.The Latinitas camp is led by a team of women educators, role models and mentors experienced in guiding girls in hands-on lessons, interactive presentations, team challenges, and fun games that address girl issues and encourage self-esteem, expression, confidence and empowerment. Girls will produce original multimedia arts projects and master techniques in photography, writing, design, radio production and filmmaking.

TEEN LEADERSHIP ACADEMY:
July 1-3 or August 5-7 from 1:00-4:00pm from 10935 Ben Crenshaw #207
This camp is focused on encouraging girls to build confidence, express themselves and develop strong communication and leadership skills to make an impact in their community. In this program, teens will meet female leaders to learn how you can become a strong voice for their community. The workshop is open to teen girls ages 13 and up interested in developing their leadership potential. Sessions will focus on topics such as civic engagement, communication skills, volunteering and, leadership techniques as girls learn how to use media as a tool for social justice and advocacy.
