Latinitas would like to recognize David Kim, for his outstanding efforts to help Latinitas promote our mission of girl empowerment. He is one of our two male interns, and we would like to thank and recognize him for his hard work and dedication to the organization. Here is a little bit about David.

What are your career goals? What are your plans after graduating college? After college I will go work for the Department of Homeland Security and then move on to working with the FBI or ICE.
What attracted you to Latinitas? I wanted to use my skills I gained from school for a good cause.
Describe your internship role and some of the projects you’ve worked on: I am the video production intern and my work varies from filming, planning to editing. I produced short videos for the Latinitas Summer camps and media workshops.
What do you like most about your internship experience with Latinitas? I like working with my co-interns because everyone is so friendly and energetic.
How do you think Latinitas makes a difference? Latinitas provides the girls with first hand experiences in media which will ultimately help them achieve their dreams.
What is your favorite memory or project with Latinitas? I enjoyed filming the summer camps because I had a chance to get to know the children.
What have you learned from Latinitas? I realized that I am getting old because many of the girls from the summer camp did not know of Matrix, the movie.
What do you hope to gain or learn from your experience with Latinitas? I hope to learn how a non-profit organization operates.
